List Of Free Therapy Helplines/ Consultations

Re-posted from https://www.linkedin.com/in/akanksha-holani/

If your mental health is struggling this week,
but therapy is expensive, I can help.
Save this list of free therapy helpline/ consultations you can use to make sense of these crazy times:

– iCall by Tata Institute of Social Sciences:
Helpline number is +91 9152 987 821.
Free of cost. Completely. Thank God for the TATAs

– MannTalks:
Helpline number is +91 8686 139 139.
Call anytime. Sessions may be charged, but very affordable.

3. Free apps:
This is not a paid post.
All the recommendations are genuine. One is a client and I can vouch for their modules personally.
You can pick from Calm, Serenity, and BetterTalks.
Each of these apps are built for mental wellness. They have paid and free plans.
Completely free options: 7 Cups of Tea, HowWeFeel

4. Sentier Mind:
They do pro-bono sessions. Have special consultations for students.

5. Vandrevala Foundation:
They work 24*7. Completely free.
Calls will be short tho.
Helpline: +91 9999 666 555

6. Tele MANAS:
A Government initiative. Call 14416 or +91 1800 891 4416.

You’ll find more details on each if you Google them.
I have spent a few hours making this list, so it’s confirmed that the entries here are functioning and largely free. Some may have minimal charges (INR 500).
Because these options are accessible to all, there maybe a waiting time.

In addition to this, a couple of years back I made a few CBT videos (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) after consulting 70+ mental health practitioners on anxiety, depression, and Bipolar. They are free for all. I can send those links, just DM.

That’s it. In the last 2 years of actively posting on LinkedIn, I have never requested you to share a post.
But, please spread this one. Bookmark it. Save it.
Everyone I know is feeling war anxiety. People who have already had challenges are now more aggravated.
Know that help is out there.
You are not alone.
