A gentle suggestion from me: Please check my socials before reaching out to me.

My journey of learning from Bollywood started when I read Shaheen’s autobiography. For the unversed, Shaheen is Alia Bhatt’s sister.

It was actually a novella when I read it first. I submitted my post to Women’s Web. There were a lot of views by the right audience. Mostly other women. I must say, men also read WomensWeb.

Shaheen talks about how she never felt “beautiful” most of her life. Now, anyone who has seen Shaheen’s picture will vouch for the fact that she is gorgeous ( unless they wanna be mean or spiteful).

But because she is the sister of one of India’s most beautiful, talented, and successful actresses of her generation, Shaheen experiences a loss of confidence, due to constant media and public scrutiny.

She is also called stupid at school due to the public perception that actresses and models are all airheads. She also must have faced immense hatred, jealousy, and spite because of who she is.

It made me reflect deeply.
