Through your books, I’ve learned that your world is simple, gentle, yet profound. When I read your ‘The Room on the Roof’, your first book, written at the age of 17, and which went on to win the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize, I observed that though your prose looked simple, it was difficult to write like you. I know, because I tried. You make your stories look effortless and magical. You are one of the authors I always recommend to young readers since your books are about nature, day-to-day incidents, and life in Landour. It’s your birthday on the 19th of May, and I wish you good health and a long life.
