I’ll admit that like every middle-class Indian the IAS was a glorified career path, and I initially thought I should become an IAS officer. I even bought the IAS prep course book. But first, I was advised against it by someone who knew what she was talking about ( for sure! ), and two, after I read Upmanyu Chatterjee’s book ‘English, August’, I knew I’d be like a fish out of water. See! This is why you should #readbooks!
