I know, I know. Picking this topic to write about in Brahma Muhurtham. Instead of saying Narayana, Narayana 1000 times.

Shaiviite or Vaishnavaiite – Iyer or Iyenger – Brahman or TamBhram

Mallipoo in the hair or not.

I attended a Google Meet call with the good old Chennai Readers’ Group led by Lakhi and others.

This time, a whole new crowd was there. I felt comfortable again. To just be myself. To listen. To interrupt, saying “Sorry I just needed to say this”

To tease Lakhi about ‘summer holidays’ – Lol, who gets summer holidays, then hear a girl giggle. Then keep quiet ‘coz he sounded irritated.

To listen to stuff about books, let my attention drift, let it be brought back so fast I rush to interrupt.

Feeling wholesome after the call. ‘Clean’. Coz society has a way of ‘teasing’- making genuine connections or friendships sound ‘dirty’ – by saying AFFAIR.

Like Deepika Padukone says in Chennai Express,

Mujhe nahi chahiye aise bakwass dictionary, lol
