I’m most active on LinkedIn. I’m now on Bluesky.

When I had finished high school and was enjoying my summer holidays, I was offered a part-time job, which came through a friend. We had to stand at kiosks outside malls and hand out free sample packets of cigarettes from a leading tobacco company. They had come out with a new pack of a different flavor. We girls were not smokers in high school, but we took up this part-time job and got paid INR 750 a day.

Looking back, I wish I had not done it. I now know how terrible the effects of smoking are and I hate the fact that I had any part to play in popularizing the already popular cigarette brand.  I really hope no one got hooked into this habit on account of that gig.
