Aishwariya's LittLog

On Books, Writing, Editing, and More

V. S. Naipaul – I read his ‘A House for Mr Biswas’ in the early 2000s, but it was not my cup of chai. I also got bashed online for an essay I’d written on one of my previous blogs, where I’d mentioned him.

Anita Desai—It was the textbook for our ICSE at SJC. I didn’t get to read it, though, because I left SJC before class 10. ( Village by the Sea)

Salman Rushdie. I recently bought ‘Knife’.

Vikram Seth – Love his poetry.

Amitav Ghosh – Recently picked up Gun Island, The Great Derangement, etc.

Arundhati Roy—I own a copy of The God of Small Things, but the book mentions suicide, etc., so it remains unread on my bookshelf.

Amit Chaudhuri – Please follow the tag #AmitChaudhuri on my blog and social media.

Shashi Tharoor – Love his stand-up comedy!

Pico Iyer – I must read his travelogues.

Jhumpa Lahiri – I’ve read some of her work.
Kiran Desai – I’ve read ‘The Inheritance of Loss’ and own a copy of the book.

Vikram Chandra – I’ve watched and loved The Sacred Games

Aravind Adiga – I’ve read ‘The White Tiger’.
