Aishwariya's LittLog

On Books, Writing, Editing, and More

As I’ve mentioned earlier, sometimes my mind recollects all the bad things from everywhere – books, movies, real life. Sometimes, all of it together. So, my mind can be a terrible place.

Once, while walking on the street, a guy spat on the road right in front of me. In India, it’s considered a sign of disrespect. But it took me back mentally to all that had happened in Tar Baby. And, of course, I remember nothing good from that book—only all the bad bits.

I remember how someone used to torture her baby, too, in this book. Disturbing.
