Love-hate relationship with food

I think I have a love-hate relationship with food. When I’m really stressed out, I binge eat. Sadly, I do it, but it is what it is. As a child and as a teen, I hardly thought about food. In my 20s, I overdosed on ice cream sundaes and pizzas. In my thirties, I tried to watch my weight, so I ate healthy. I even went on an elimination diet suggested to me by my nutritionist friend. I also did circuit training and yoga in studios. After I turned forty, I became uber-careful with my food and enrolled in a paid plan for HealthifyMe for 1.5 years. Now, in my late forties, I don’t follow a diet, although I should. I do not believe in keto diets or endorse them. I believe in portion control like they do in Weight Watchers. It’s hard to stick to a good diet plan when you are a vegetarian, and there are hardly any natural sources of protein. Also, you do not have access to gyms or yoga studios when you live in a remote area. But as they say, your fitness levels depend 70 percent on what you eat and only 30 percent on your work out. I use the term love-hate relationship with food because I love yummy food, but I need to opt for healthy choices all the time, and – I’d like to tell diet gurus – what is considered healthy is not yummy in my book.
