Fond Food Memories From Childhood

As a child, my parents took me to eat out most weekends. We went to nearby eateries and restaurants. There was one called Little Lotta ( based on the comic character) where I would have milkshakes. We went to a restaurant called Shrivatsa in Anna Nagar for dinner consisting of Naan and subzi. Later, when I was in high school, we used to go to Tropicana in Nungambakkam. I’ve also treated my friends at the Chinese restaurant Cascade a number of times. After school, my friend and I would go to Cakes ‘N Bakes. A large part of our ‘outings’ consisted of eating out at various places and savoring their food.

I’ve done very little of that in the last seven years. These days, we prefer to eat at home, where we can ensure the cleanliness and appropriateness of the food. But I still love going down memory lane to recall these good days.

  1. Oh reminiscing about food and especially the food I have shared with someone is the bestest feeling.
