I’ve been the kind of girl who would eat a mango without bothering to find out what kind of mango it was. I’m glad that has changed. This summer I noticed that the Banganapallis we got from our fruit vendor in April were rather tasteless ‘coz it wasn’t the season yet. The real season is NOW. The same fruit vendor is bringing yummy mangoes since the season has set in.

I had Totapuri, Banganapalli, Sendoora, Rumani, and others. I shared knowledge of the mango as well as the actual mangoes with my parents, who I stay with.

I find myself taking more of an interest in the simple things that fill my life. I’m noticing more of what goes into each dish no matter how simple it is to make. You might have seen my numerous blog posts about noodles, something that most people find too elementary to write about. This post was inspired by Suchita Agarwal’s post on Mangoes that she wrote for The BlogchatterFoodFest.
