I see the silver sands at Pattaya. I’m sitting with my mother on a recling chair. I detect no strong odour. I hear the sound of silence and remember the Simon and Garfunkel song playing in my head. I taste water, not the salty sea water in front of me, but the mineral water from my bottle and look at my mother who has dozed off on the chair next to me.
And think to myself, “Hmm, this is the life”
