Unauthorized use of any site content—including altered versions of images or text—is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.

A disturbing thing happened to me on Facebook a few months ago this year. I got a digitally altered picture of mine sent to me by someone on Facebook messenger. They had used my face and altered the pic with some pornstar’s body. They had the audacity to send me the snap and tell me it went viral. I didn’t even tell my mom until after a couple of hours. Told my mom to tell my dad. Told my college friends after two months.

Of course, I blocked and reported the digital criminal on my Facebook, but nothing was done. I think this is a serious breach of a woman’s privacy.

In fact long back, actress Rashmika Mandanna’s digitally altered video went viral. I was one of the people who signed the petition against this.

Can the lawmakers please help?
