I’ve been called a horseface, a bimbo, Ren – from the Ren and Stimpy cartoon. The short skirt I wore to school was mocked. One girl came and told me that all the boys are talking about you. As a single child who never “gossiped’ this shocked me and jarred my system. I felt judged, embarrassed, ashamed. humiliated, and sensitive dealing with all this. For any school children reading this, please know that kids are their meanest in adolescence. They are experiencing too much change both physically and emotionally. What their “friends” think and say means more to them than what their parents say. But please remember, NO ONE will want the BEST for you more than your PARENTS.

Till today, when I see a child getting bullied, it hurts me and makes me weep.
