A Holter monitor is a small, wearable device that continuously records your heart’s electrical activity, typically for 24 to 48 hours. It’s often used to detect irregular heart rhythms (arrhythmias) or other cardiac issues that might not show up during a standard electrocardiogram (ECG). The device consists of electrodes attached to your chest, connected to a recording unit about the size of a deck of cards.
I wore the device for 24 hours starting yesterday at 11.50 am. I paid INR 3600 to Hindu Mission Hospital to rent the device and get it attached to my chest. I returned the device today. The electrical impulses that were recorded by the device will be transferred to a 15-page report that I will collect later.
