Dedication
I dedicate my debut book of poems ‘Birds Of Paradise’ to my parents Kesava Siva Loganathan and Jayanthy. They have stood by me through thick and thin and supported me in every kind of situation. Their love and sacrifices have enabled me to grow as a person and face challenges without giving up. Our family unit has strengthened over the years, and I’m ever grateful for their love.
As bibliophiles, both of them have influenced me in various ways. My mother took me to a library when I was a child in Class Four. My dad remains my human encyclopaedia. With their literary influences shaping my growth as a person, I’m thankful for their genes/DNA.
I’m blessed that my dad has mentored me, especially over the last seven years. It has sometimes been challenging since we are both so strong-headed, but I’ve learned so much from him that I wouldn’t have been able to learn elsewhere. I’m thankful for his guidance in both my personal and professional life.
My mom has lent her soft and practical touch to my life, so that I’m not always lost in daydreams alone. Together, they are the best parents a girl could ask for! I wish them a long and healthy life, and I will always strive to make them proud!
