A gentle suggestion from me: Please check my socials before reaching out to me.

In Class Eight, I had Guiding classes, which were new to me, since I did not have them in my previous school. We were all set to become girl scouts. I recall our inky blue uniforms, complete with epaulettes. We had notebooks where we would write about the different types of knots: reef knot etc.

We were also taught how to make and undo such knots, though for the life of me, I cannot remember a single knot. It was also the time I used to chat with my friend S. She had joined our school when she moved from the US. Strangely enough, she described me then as being a “Yankee” friend in my autograph diary. 😀

She had lent me a copy of ‘Postcards from the Edge’ by Carrie Fisher. It dealt with adult themes like drug overdoses. I wonder what I made of it with my class eight brain, but I must have taken away something. I had a lovely time chatting with S every Saturday, which was when we had our guiding class. It feels amazing to recall this memory today after so many years!
