As the rays of the morning sun
Creep upon the light blue sky
I watch the scene unfold
From my room inside
I marvel at the crimson blush
That spreads across the sky so lush
I’m reminded of a shy bride
Who casts her eyes downward, demure
Will she bear the heat
As the day moves on from dawn, this eve?
One can only wonder
For life can be a mirage
And something one reaches for
Can suddenly vanish
At the blink of an eye
But the bride thinks not of this
She looks on expectantly
For life to unfold its delights
