Outstanding feat of worldwide authors coming together to create a unique collection of writings on what it means to defy definition in some way. Highly relevant in this day-and-age where minorities still exist, but are marginalized by the mainstream into smaller minorities. These stories of survival, and thriving, go from strength to strength in their determination to defy the expectations put on them. Very impactful and inspiring where the reader is able to relate deeply to the ways in which people create their own futures, despite every obstacle. What was of particular value was the unique way these editors collated the stories from all around the world – no theme exactly the same, the variety and depth of their confessionals was breathtakingly powerful.
