On Books, Writing, Editing, and More

My Chinese sign is the Snake. I was born in the year of the Fire Snake – 1977. I couldn’t get enough of Theodora Lau when I was in high school. Back in high school, even my classmates and friends called me ‘Snake’ and would show the ‘paambu’ hand. At that time, I thought it sounded rather ominous. I still think it does. Maybe that’s why I found ‘Harry Potter’ so awesome when I read it. The idea of Parseltongue appealed to me.

Also, in general, I’m fascinated by the Chinese Dragon symbols. I recently found out through my Ashoka University course that it has existed for donkeys’ years in India. I also loved Dan Brown’s books, which got me hooked again after a few months when I had stopped reading. The person who motivated me to read those books was Malini who weighed 37 kg back then and I weighed 95.
