In 2007 or so, when I lived in Hyderabad alone, I visited a dentist who worked on my dental implant. He did half of the treatment and charged me INR 12000. He referred me to his buddy in Chennai to complete the rest as I suddenly relocated to Chennai within eight months. The “buddy” finished the treatment and charged me INR 8000. After forking out INR 20000 already, the same tooth has troubled me further. I went to another dentist in Chennai and I was charged around INR 5000 before the pandemic. After the pandemic, I was charged another 13000 for – you guessed it – that very tooth. Now, barely six months down the line, it is hurting so much – I feel as if a drill is being bored into my gums each time I eat or drink using that side of the mouth.
I know some people are worth their weight in gold, but I may be worth my weight in diamonds.
Gold tooth – diamond tooth, get it? I knew you would 🙂
