‘Confronting Love’ Edited By Jerry Pinto And Arundhati Subramaniam

How can a book go wrong when the theme is ‘Love’ and the editors are Jerry Pinto and Arundhati Subramaniam?

I’m glad I buy ONLY books that mean something to me these days.

‘Confronting Love’ was first published in 2005 by Penguin Books.

My favorite poem from this collection is ‘All the Words’ by ‘Suniti Namjoshi.’

A beautiful poem on a distasteful topic is ‘Lice’ by Arun Kolatkar.

A poem on ‘Daffodils’ is by Meena Alexander.

Some interesting words in the book

Liturgy

Prosody

Arpeggios

After reading this book, I was inspired to write a few poems, which I did.

I found out about the book ‘On Cleaning Bookshelves’ ( 2001) by Arundhati Subramaniam.

There is a section on ‘Notes on Contributors’ at the end of the book and the ‘Copyright Acknowledgements.’

Also, has anyone heard anything related to the poet Bhikaiji Maneckji?
