The candidate had worked as a copyeditor for one year. He then switched to becoming a UX designer based on an internship he had done in UX. He is currently on a health break since he was getting migraines due to excessive screen time. He has been to a neurologist, and he is better now. He has four months’ experience in UX, after which he is on a medical sabbatical. He is trying to use this time to upskill himself to help switch to becoming a developer. He says every frontend developer has HTML, CSS, Javascript skills. He says UX designers must know the skills frontend developers require, but UX designers get paid a lot less than frontend developers. He estimates it will take him three months to learn frontend development and make the switch. Once he becomes a front-end developer, he will work on backend development, etc. Additionally, he encountered the challenge of his creativity being disregarded and numerous jobs being templatised.
