I used to board the company bus ( back then Cognizant had 150 buses in its fleet) at 6 am. It used to take me 1.5 hours to reach the office. By the time we reached office itself we would be a bit tired. It helped that the Siruseri facility was completely spic and span and airconditioned. We used to enjoy the cool air and chat unreservedly in our team because these kind of things bond a team.

It was my former colleague Rose Leema who worked with me in NIIT, Aptech as well as Cognizant whose hubby used to work with MRF Tyres who encouraged me to take up certificate courses. So I did my certificate course from Symbi in Instructional design when I was with Aptech.

Later on when I was with HP, she let me know that in her then company, they were not having any knowledge sharing sessions or someone from the team teaching the team. I uploaded her resume in the HP database. IT companies have a talent management system like Taleo etc.
