I stayed and worked in Hyd for all of 8 months. This was when I was with UBS. In the first 5 months, we got barely any work to do. It was an endless routine of partying till 3 am. Getting up at 7 am and going to work in the company cab. As you can imagine, I was groggy and dead beat most of the time due to the lack of sleep. Thankfully UBS then had a room where we could sleep. I think it was called recharge room. It was spic and span. I used to go there to grab 40 winks. When I felt more rested, I would go and stare at my screen the whole day. Social media was blocked and so was Gmail i think.
I was dead bored all day. So after work I would go to their gym and work out for an hour. Then catch the cab and head home. I would be tired so I would lie down and watch TV. Mostly FRIENDS and Hannah Montana etc.
I could not tolerate this lifestyle for more than 6 months. So when I was offered a job with HP, I grabbed it and it was an awesome decision. When I joined HP as a collateral writer I did not even know what the word collateral meant. I looked it up, And the HR lady who interviewed me for this HP role was named Lakshmi. I had a pre-screening video call from Hyd i think from some net center.
Then Philip Malayil from HP spoke with me for another screening. He was the head of the writing team at HP then.
I was in HP DSAS – Decision Support and Analytics team headed by Venkat also known as Saint Vee.
