I watched a YouTube video of some schoolchildren performing Macavity during the pandemic. I recently picked up a copy of Old Possum’s Book Of Practical Cats by T.S. Eliot ( Faber Classics), which is now a major film.

After reading just one chapter, I decided to buy ‘The Iron Man’ by Ted Hughes.

Old Possum was T.S. Eliot’s nom de plume. In this book, Pollicle is the name given to ‘poor little’ dogs, and Jellicle is the name given to ‘dear little cats’. It is a book of whimsical verse.
