My mom is into K-Dramas these days. The first K-Drama I watched was violent! We are talking about high-school girls murdering other girls to get a place in a music competition. Say what?
Slashing necks, blood spilling everywhere…the works!
The next one too was similar – violent! ( probably due to personalization that happens on Netflix)
Finally, there was one without all the gore. As always I just watched bits and pieces of the show, since my mom watches TV on mute when I write.
Yesterday, a young girl who had lost her mom was reading every chance she got because she had to fend for herself and she believed in the power of books. It was amazing to see how she learned to tackle bullies by reading The Art Of War. It catches the attention of an HNWI who wants to hire her to “tame” his three grandsons from different mothers who are rich, spoilt, arrogant, and nasty to boot.
I loved the scene where she quotes chapter and verse of Sun Tsu’s book, which leads to the HNWI pleading with her to carry out his task. His secretary asks him whether it is necessary to go so far for this young girl.
She knows how to deal with persons of all ages, all ranks, and all designations due to her life experiences.
She is my favorite character in the series and I don’t even remember her name!
