I’ve been blogging since 2004, and I started blogging about books in 2017. My debut book, BIRDS OF PARADISE: POEMS ON LIFE, LIBERTY, AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS, was published in November 2024 BY ALIEN BUDDHA PRESS, AN INDEPENDENT, TRADITIONAL PUBLISHER BASED IN the United States.

Writing gives me clarity of thought. When I arrange my ideas and opinions on a page, I can see the contours of the subject. I’ve been published in 49 anthologies since 2020.

I write feature articles and blog posts. Over 250 of my feature articles on lifestyle, beauty, fashion, and interviews with the glitterati have been published in national newspapers.

I’ve loved books for as long as I can remember. I’ve devoured books of all kinds – from anthologies of short stories and poems, collections of essays, and scientific writing to large novels – from an early age.

When I began writing, I concentrated on the meaning, structure, flow, and English grammar to enrich the reader’s experience.

Deep inside, I knew that anything related to the world of words would interest me and be suitable for me. Also, I took a career suitability assessment test while in college, which indicated that I would excel in research. Thanks Arati Mohanram ( Former President of The Ethiraj College For Women, 1995-1998) 

Helping others arrange their thoughts to convey sense through the written word eventually led to a career in editing. I believe in continuous learning. I love staying abreast of exciting trends and in channelling my creativity. I’m also a digital creator and social media influencer. Find me on the www.

I HAVE edited fiction (romance/ novels), non-fiction (self-help books/memoirs), marketing communication material (data sheets, white papers, business presentations, service briefs, solution briefs, point-of-view papers, pitch decks), essays, articles, blog posts, K-12 learning material, storyboards, e-learning courseware, web pages, etc.

I’m a freelance content, creativity, and communication consultant. I can pore over books and websites to get you the content you are looking for ( if you are an author working on a project that requires research). I’m among the top two percent in Academia( insert link to website) worldwide. 

I’m well versed in the Chicago Manual of Style and the Microsoft Style Guide. I’ve been using them since 2003. My clients have included businesses from the healthtech sector, edTech, manufacturing companies, educational institutions, finance companies, e-commerce companies, IT giants, retailers, start-ups, and others. I have worked on B2B, B2C, and D2C content. 

Developmental editing is big-picture stuff: structure, plot holes, pacing, story flow.

Line editing (aka copy editing) focuses on how the words read—sentence structure, rephrasing to prevent awkwardness, and so on.

Proofreading is your final polish—grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc. It’s the last pass before you publish.

I offer all three services and more. I’ve done a bit of client servicing during my tenure with Ogilvy, Bengaluru. ( specifically for The Hindu -Roof and Floor and Rainbow Hospitals). I can also simplify complex information so that your child or grandmother can understand it. ( as I’ve done for Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, Cognizant, World Bank, UBS, several start-ups and others.)  In April 2024, I completed a 13-week course in MODERN INDIAN LITERATURE CONDUCTED ONLINE BY PROFESSOR AMIT CHAUDHURI via ASHOKA UNIVERSITY.

THIS COURSE CHANGED MY PERSPECTIVE AND GAVE ME NEW DIRECTION AND GUIDANCE. 

It instilled in me a desire to read the best literary works in the world, like Booker-PRIZE WINNING, NOBEL-PRIZE WINNING BOOKS, SALMAN RUSHDIE, CHILDREN’S LITERATURE, AND OTHER children’s BOOKS. 

MY latest obsession is TAROT. I receive divine guidance through tarot readings. Stay loved and stay blessed.
